Exhibition at Medical Museion 27 April – 21 October 2012

This exhibition presents drawings and objects from a 2-year postdoctoral research fellowship by the London artist Lucy Lyons. Lucy sees drawing as a method for gaining understanding of unfamiliar objects and to develop greater insight into the familiar – in this case the sometimes overlooked everyday aspects of ageing. The drawing process involves being in the presence of objects and spending a significant amount of time looking at them. Lucy Lyons collected her research in large bound books which are displayed in the exhibition along with a single set of prints made specifically for this exhibition and a selection of the investigated objects.
